About the Life Coaching Academy
Established in early 2001 in Australia, The Life Coaching Academy responded to the needs for a
representative body for coaches, a training resource and a service for people seeking coaches.
The Academy is dedicated to establishing and maintaining the highest levels of professionalism in
coaching whilst developing, innovating and responding to changes in the profession. It recognises
that coach training is one of the foremost personal development procedures for coaches and their
clients. It also recognises that the needs of Australia and New Zealand in these respects, differ
from those of the USA where coaching has its roots.
This unique position allows The Life Coaching Academy to represent Australian and New Zealand coaching on the international stage, to promote coaching throughout the country and to publicise the services of life coaches who have graduated from its training courses.

The Life Coaching Academy is Nationally & Internationally Accredited
Essentially, it is all about quality control and national recognition. The Academy offers a Certificate IV in Life Coaching as well as a Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management). The Life Coaching Academy is also accredited by: International Coach Federation (ICF).
The Academy has its roots in personal development and has been at the forefront of Life Coaching training in Australia.
The Life Coaching Academy operates nationwide and also has a presence in New Zealand. The head office is located on the Gold Coast. Its training venues, which include some of the most prestigious training and conference facilities available, are located in key sites throughout Australia.
The Life Coaching Academy has trained or is currently training over 2000 Life Coaches in England and Australia. These people have backgrounds in the areas of education, health care, alternative medicines, counseling and therapy, sports coaching, HR and training and many more backgrounds where ‘getting the most out of people and moving them forward’ is seen as an essential skill.
Our Coaches go on to run full or part time practices or they take the skills back into the workplace. Some of our Life Coaches operate solely in the private sector, or as business coaches in the business world, others work in both.
We pride ourselves in the fact that out Life Coaches are sought after people! We regularly receive enquiries from prospective clients, who may be private individuals seeking personal coaching or multi-national companies looking for life coaching consultancy within their organizations. All of these leads are passed onto our coaches via our Head Office and our coaching network located across the country.
The selection process for trainees is rigorous but fair. The first part of the training is delivered at residential weekends with the emphasis on practical workshop experiences which are supplemented with distance learning modules. The Academy is proud to have many of Australia's leading and most experienced life coaches as its tutors. As practicing coaches they bring current experience to the application of theoretical knowledge and skills training. The final graduation examination is
acknowledged as a hallmark qualification.
But training is only the start. The Life Coaching Academy ensures, through an ongoing relationship with coaches, that they are always kept up to date as the profession evolves. This contact is maintained through conference calls, special events with leading international coaches as featured speakers, the Academy's own newsletter and website and, as you might expect, access to their own life coaches.
Many graduates are already enjoying the freedom and pleasure of running their own home-based
coaching practices. Others are following a fast track career course with major employers who invite them to take their coaching skills back to the workplace to be shared with their colleagues. Whether a coach delegate is in the private or corporate sector, the dedication to maintaining the highest standards is constant.
